Roadside Assistance

We will arrange for assistance at the road where the cause of the problem is one of the following:

Flat Battery: arrange and pay to have the member's vehicle started, where possible.
Flat tyre: arrange and pay to have the spare tyre put onto the member's vehicle.
Keys locked in vehicle: arrange and pay for a locksmith to open member's vehicle and retrieve the keys.
Fuel assistance: arrange for fuel to be delivered to member (the cost of the fuel will be for the members account)

Tow-In

We will arrange and pay a tow-in service for the member to the nearest approved dealer or competent repairer in the event of:

Mechanical breakdown - up to R500
Electrical breakdown - up to R500

Accident Towing

In the event of the member being involved in an accident we will arrange and pay up to R1850 for the vehicle to be towed to the nearest approved repairer. It will be the member's responsibility to manage the accident directly with the service provider. Additional storage and tow-in services will not be included.

Hotel Accommodation

For breakdowns more then 100km from the place of residence, resulting in an overnight delay, we will arrange and pay up to R500 towards hotel accommodation for the driver and occupants (max. six persons). This is on condition that towing is arranged via the call centre.

Car Rental

In lieu of the hotel accommodation option, we will arrange and pay up to R500 for the 24-hour, class-P car to enable the member to reach his/her destination. This is subject to the member qualifying for a rental vehicle in terms of the car rental company's general terms and conditions. The costs incurred will be confined to rental charges, delivery and collection of the hired vehicle. The car must be surrended on arrival at the member's destination.

Vehicle Storage

If required due to overnight delay, we will arrange and pay up to R500 for the safe storage of the member's vehicle.

Vehicle Recovery

In the event of the member's vehicle being left for repairs outside the radius of 100km from place of residence, we will arrange and pay up to R1000 towards the cost of transporting the vehicle back to the member's place of residence, after the repair has been affected. Towing had to be arranged via the call centre.

Transmission of Urgent Messages

At the member's request, we will relay messages of delay or changed arrangements to the nominated family member or business colleague.

Overall limit of R5000 per annum per policy.
*Please note: This cover excludes all company vehicles (more than two axels and/or four wheels), trailers, caravans, and motorcycles. Vehicles will not be towed in the event of damage due to an attempted theft. Vehicles older than ten years are not covered. This cover is only valid on national roads within the borders of South Africa.

Home Assist

In the event of a home emergency as a result of breakage of fixtures and fittings, we will arrange fo an appropiate repairer (electrician, plumber, locksmith, glazier etc.) to address the problem at the member's place of residence (call-out fee and one hour labour is covered, thereafter normal rates apply).

Overall limit of R2000 per annum per policy

Appliance Referral Service

Members will be referred to an appropriate repairer in the event of faulty appliances (excluding audio and computer equipment). While we are available to coordinate assitance on a 24-hour basis, repairs will only be affected during business hours. Any costs incurred will be for the member's account.

Emergency Services Notification

We will, at the member's request, relay notification of emergencies to the police, traffic, fire brigade, ambulance, security or any other emergency service provider.
